Who Is Trader Sam

If the name Trader Sam rings a bell… there is a darn good reason. As any Disney-fan can tell you, the famed Adventureland explorer Trader Sam once appeared in the Jungle Cruise attraction, bartering for shrunken heads. However, little known fact… he also had a side business. Bitten by the bartending bug,  Sam now spends his time searching full time searching for exotic ingredients to mix into magical libations.

Tucked away under the lush fronds of swaying palm trees, Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto is conveniently located steps away from the lavish lobby of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

How To Get In

Getting into Trader Sam’s can be a little difficult because Sam doesn’t accept reservations. The only real way to get into the bar is to show up early and get in line.

When To Get There

Typically, Trader Sam’s opens at 3PM. If you’re hoping to get in there early so you can pick your seat, we suggest you get there at least 45 minutes early.

What To Drink
